The Centre for Policy and Practice is an independent, non-partisan organization that supports research and its application to real world questions. There is an intentional emphasis on inter-disciplinary work, either by methods or theory. The Director of the Centre is William Morgan. Staff at the Centre have experience organizing conferences anywhere from 50 to 5,000.

William Morgan received his Ph.D. from Indiana University. His research is in the area of civic education and political participation. He has published articles in the American Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Politics, and Politics and Policy.

Morgan has been a faculty member and research scientist, and is a non-profit administrator. He has served on the board different non-profits including the Consortium of Social Science Associations. He received the Points of Light Award from the Points of Light Foundation, was recognized by the Fund for Social Entrepreneurs at Youth Serve America and was named a Fellow at the John Glenn Institute for service-learning research.
